Tokyo, July 16, 2010 – For the second year in succession, Dentsu Public Relations Inc. has won a Golden World Award for Excellence in PR from the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), the leading global organization for senior public relations executives. Dentsu PR was voted best in the ‘Communication Research’ category for its project for the Hokkaido Rice Sales Expansion Committee, “Upgrading Hokkaido Rice to ‘First Class’”. Dentsu PR was the sole award winner from Japan.
In this year’s awards, IPRA judges selected 26 winners across 30 categories among 352 entries from 42 countries. The IPRA Grand Prix winner will be announced at the Golden World Awards ceremony to be held in London on November 5, 2010. Last year, Dentsu PR’s campaigns for Iwanami Shoten Publishers and the Japan Dairy Council were awarded top honors in the “Consumer PR – existing product” and “Business-to-business” categories among 342 entries.
