Tokyo, October 24, 2024 – PR Consulting Dentsu Inc. will host a special exhibition on the theme of “PR” titled “What is PR?
– From Everyday Activities to Its Power to Change Society” at Ad Museum Tokyo from November 8 to December 25, 2024.
While the term “PR” is widely known in Japan, many are not aware that it stands for Public Relations, and the correct understanding of PR as a tool for building two-way communication and relationships remains limited. An online survey conducted by the company revealed that over 90% of respondents either did not know or misunderstood the full meaning of PR.
In response to these findings, PR Consulting Dentsu planned this exhibition to deepen understanding of PR. Hosted at Ad Museum Tokyo, which focuses on advertising, the exhibition will explain what PR is and how it differs from advertising, using booklets, digital devices, pop-ups, panels, videos, and more to introduce PR’s history and definition.
Additionally, part of the exhibition will feature materials from The Museum of Public Relations in New York City. The exhibit will provide not only case studies but also an academic perspective on the history and evolution of PR, making for a unique and engaging display.
